How it works:

Typically, 'odd' harmonics (1st, 3rd, 5th, etc.) contribute to melodic enhancements in a mix, while 'even' harmonics (2nd, 4th, 6th, etc.) introduce a touch of discordance or emulate valve amp distortions.
